About My Teaching

My teaching approach is grounded in the belief that writing and research are both technical and social acts, requiring collaboration, iteration, and critical engagement with emerging technologies. I teach students both in the classroom and through my work at the Arizona Water Innovation Initiative (AWII), where I mentor undergraduate and master’s students through writing, research, and design processes.

I have taught Business Writing, Writing for the Professions, and First-Year Composition (including courses for L2 learners) in in-person and online formats. Additionally, I developed UX 101: Introduction to User Experience and TWC305: User Experience Research Methods in collaboration with Claire Lauer, PhD. Across all my courses, I integrate real-world applications and technological engagement, incorporating tools such as collaborative writing platforms, design software, and generative AI to enhance students' professional and digital literacy.
