Research

I contribute to a growing body of work that advocates for improving processes that support technical and professional communicators (TPCers) in fostering impactful relationships and outcomes with interdisciplinary teams and communities. Specifically, my research explores how TPCers apply and adapt methods, technologies, and best practices to support effective and ethical collaboration.

My research has appeared in Technical Communication Quarterly, The Online Learning Journal, and the Proceedings of the ACM International Conference on Design of Communication (SIGDOC). I have a forthcoming research article in IEEE Transactions on Professional Communication, as well as three forthcoming book chapters including a contribution to The Routledge Handbook of User Experience in Technical Communication​.
